Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun will visit the United States starting today and hold the first ROK-U.S. Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio since his inauguration.

This meeting is expected to serve as an opportunity for the two ministers to build personal ties and have an extensive discussion on a range of issues, including the ROK-U.S. alliance, ROK-U.S.-Japan trilateral cooperation, the North Korean issue, and regional affairs.
